Midtown Panorama: Fourth of July Vista

Here are some photos taken by a friend on the fourth. The vantage point is Weehawken, New Jersey, just across the Hudson River. Sometimes you have to escape Manhattan to truly appreciate the skyline, and the photos certainly show just how immense New York really is–you can barely even pick out 250 West 55th or 1715 Broadway. New York is still the only city where 500 foot plus buildings simply disappear.
