Construction Update: 432 Park Avenue

Steady work continues at 432 Park Avenue, and since the previous update from two weeks ago, the tower has risen two floors – keeping a constant pace. The superstructure is now nearly 400 feet tall, and while the tower may not be visible from outside the immediate vicinity, the crane is just beginning to poke into the New York skyline. It will only take two to three months for 432 Park to surpass neighborhood icons like the Sony Building, which is when New Yorkers will really begin to notice the tower’s presence.

Construction continues at one floor per week – which is actually slower than what was initially anticipated, given the tower’s slender profile – and 432 Park Avenue should reach ‘supertall’ status by the end of 2013. By this time next year, the tower should be close to topping-out.
