Construction has topped out and is quickly wrapping up on the six-story, 102-unit mixed-use building under development at 5 Blue Slip as part of the Greenpoint Landing mega-development, in northern Greenpoint. All of the building’s apartments will rent at below-market rates through the affordable housing lottery; applications for them have just launched.

The latest building permits indicate the structure encompasses 105,475 square feet and rises 65 feet in height, not including the bulkhead. There will be 3,789 square feet of retail on the ground floor. The apartments above, ranging from studios to two-bedrooms, should average 929 square feet apiece. L+M Development Partners is the developer and Handel Architects is behind the design. Move-ins are expected in early 2017.

  1. What if the bulkhead is included?..I’m looking mixed-use building show with some exterior first. (on six-story)

  2. Hello, Does anyone know the exact address of this new building? I’ve tried searching variations of “5 Blue Slip, Greenpoint, Brooklyn” on Google Maps, but had no success so far.
