It has been about five-and-a-half months since we checked in on JDS Development Group’s new endeavor at 613 Baltic Street, in Park Slope. Back then, it had just topped out. Now, behind scaffolding, façade installation is underway at every level of the 11-story building.

Dubbed Baltic Park Slope, the 119-foot-tall building is the product of Flatiron District-based VOA Architecture. Construction progress can be seen thanks to photos taken by Tectonic.

The project’s stats have changed since YIMBY’s July 2016 report. According to a new building permit issued in November, it will encompass 64,391 square feet, down from 83,154 square feet. Forty-three residential units, one fewer than before, would be spread across 59,073 square feet, which works out to an average of over 1,373 square feet per unit. Listings include a 689-square-foot one-bedroom and a 1,356-square-foot three-bedroom.

There will also be a 3,157-square-foot retail space and 2,163-square-foot community center on the first floor.

The amenities currently listed on the Schedule A include a roof terrace, space for 22 bicycles, parking for 10 automobiles, an outdoor garden on the first floor, an exercise room and both indoor and outdoor lounges on the second floor.

The building is a six-minute walk from the Union Street Station on the R train. The 2 and 3 trains at Bergen Street, and the B, N, Q, R, 4, and 5 trains (as well as the 2 and 3 trains) at Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center, aren’t much farther. Completion by the end of 2017 is a reasonable expectation.

  1. A photo came to me with under construction, look and judgement on 11-story for only reasons beautiful-modern.
