YIMBY has revealed two major projects coming to East New York in the past few months, on Loring Avenue and at 3301 Atlantic Avenue. While those developments will transform entire blocks, other smaller lots are now joining the neighborhood’s boom. Now, new job applications have been filed for a substantial project at 820 Glenmore Avenue, one block northeast of the C train’s Shepherd Avenue stop, totaling 77 units.

The building will have a total construction area of just over 71,000 square feet, which will contain almost 54,000 square feet of residential space. That translates into units that will average about 700 square feet, which most definitely portends rentals, and the structure will rise eight floors and 80 feet to its rooftop.

Diego Aguilera of Diego Aguilera Architects, P.C., is the site’s architect, and Joel Schwartz of South Side Associates is listed as the developer. Demolition permits for the existing one-story structure were filed and approved in late May.

Mostly spaced for residential, and I totally agreed.
