Food festival Smorgasburg is opening its first location in New Jersey this weekend. Harborside, the commercial campus by developer Mack-Cali in Jersey City, will house the food market in its open-air market space.

The food festival is also planning to open Smorgasbar, a seven-day-a-week waterfront beer garden and multi-vendor restaurant across the street in the coming weeks. Smorgasburg will be open from 11am to 6pm every Saturday through October 2021.

Located on the shores of Hudson River, the contiguous set of three low rise buildings known as Harborside 1, Harborside 2, and Harborside 3 was designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects and developed by Mack-Cali and SJP Properties. Along with office space, the complex has 71,000 square feet of retail space with dining areas and a waterfront esplanade.

Harborside is bound by Harborside Place to the north, Hudson Street to the west, and Christopher Columbus Drive to the south.
