Near the end of 2013, Brownstoner reported on applications for Douglaston Development’s 40-story, 554-unit residential tower at 2 North 6th Place, on Williamsburg’s northern stretch of East River waterfront, and now photos by Tectonic show the building under construction. It appears to be 11 stories above street level. Based on a rendering from J&A Concrete, the base is close to being structurally complete. A small 678 square-foot retail unit is planned on the ground floor and units will average 925 square feet apiece. Stephen B. Jacobs Group is designing and completion is expected in 2017.
