The affordable housing lottery has launched for 2955 Brighton 5th Street, a six-story residential building in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn. Designed by Zarina Kindo’s Brooklyn-based Arcon Studio, the structure yields 15,795 square feet with 20 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are six units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $63,429 to $167,570.

Sales have officially launched for 12 homes at 362 Van Brunt Street, in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Dubbed
The Van Brunt, the four-story, 60-foot-tall building consists of two-bedroom units that each have two bathrooms and private balconies with prices ranging from $895,000 to $1,100,000. Arcons Design Studio is the architect of record for the nearly 20,000-square-foot project. YIMBY last reported an inclusion of just over 1,000 square feet of commercial space and about 1,355 square feet of ground-floor community facilities. The Patty LaRocco Team at Douglas Elliman is handling sales.

An anonymous Brooklyn-based LLC has filed applications for a six-story, eight-unit mixed-use building at 179 West End Avenue, located on the western end of Manhattan Beach in southern Brooklyn. The new building will measure 11,140 square feet. It will contain 1,185 square feet of medical space and 1,187 square feet of office space on the ground floor, followed by eight residential units across the second through sixth floors, plus a penthouse level. The apartments should average 990 square feet apiece. Zarina Kindo’s Brooklyn-based ARCON Studio is the architect of record. The 2,643-square-foot plot is occupied by a single-story structure. Demolition permits have not been filed.

Vladimir Kindo, doing business as an anonymous LLC, has filed applications for a four-story, seven-unit residential building at 2921 Brighton 1st Street, in Brighton Beach. That is two blocks north of the Ocean Parkway stop on the Q train. The structure will measure 4,913 square feet in total, which means units will average a rental-sized 702 square feet apiece. Zarina Ross’s Brooklyn-based Arcon Studio is the applicant of record. An existing single-story home must first be demolished.

Property owner David Winiarsky has filed applications for a six-story, 10-unit mixed-use building at 2973 Ocean Parkway, in Brighton Beach, a block from the Q train’s stop at Ocean Parkway. The building will measure 7,934 square feet, which includes a 1,760 square-foot healthcare facility on the ground and cellar levels. Beginning on the second floor, there will be two units per floor, averaging a rental-sized 617 square feet apiece. Zarina Ross’ Coney Island-based Arcon Studio is the applicant of record, and an existing two-story brick house must first be demolished.
