Almost a decade following the initial opening of Ravel Hotel in Long Island City, ownership has unveiled a ten-story expansion and partial renovation of its existing property at 8-08 Queens Plaza South, just south of Queensbridge Park. Ravi Patel, owner of the Ravel Hotel brand, describes the project as “transformative” and sought to establish an amenity-rich hotel and entertainment space for weddings, corporate outings, and other large events.
In an exclusive reveal, Silverback Development has officially launched sales for Hero LIC, a new condominium building at 24-16 Queens Plaza South in Long Island City, Queens. The Serhant Team at Nest Seekers International will serve as the sales and marketing agent for the property.

After four years of work, Hunter’s Point Library looks to be nearing full completion at 47-07 Center Boulevard in Long Island City. YIMBY last reported on the project back in December 2016, when a tour of the Steven Holl Architects-designed structure revealed spacious interiors, multi-story atriums, and stacked floor plates. Two and a half years later, the architecturally finished concrete walls and oversized abstract-shaped widows are complete, and the interiors also appear to be finished. Work on the surrounding landscape has yet to begin.
