Today’s housing lottery round-up features eight buildings in Queens, Brooklyn, The Bronx, and Manhattan with available affordable units on Housing Connect with deadlines closing within the next seven days.
Mintz Attorneys is the latest high-profile tenant to join 919 Third Avenue, a 47-story office tower in Sutton Place, Manhattan. As its flagship New York office, the suite measures over 101,000 square feet on floors 37 through 39 and a partial concourse level.
Construction is now above street level on 131-141 East 47th Street, a 500-foot-tall residential skyscraper in Midtown East. Designed by Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by Silverback Development, the 34-story structure will yield 200 apartments ranging from studios to two-bedroom units as well as 5,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space with frontage along West 47th Street. Silverback was brought onto the project by Hopson Development Holdings, which purchased the parcel for $115 million in December 2019 from the original developers, New Empire Real Estate. Structure Tech New York and Cauldwell Wingate are constructing the building.
Work is progressing on the steel superstructure of 270 Park Avenue, JP Morgan Chase‘s new 1,425-foot supertall headquarters in Midtown, Manhattan. The 2.5-million-square-foot skyscraper is located between Park and Madison Avenues and 47th and 48th Streets and replaces the Union Carbide Building, which is now fully demolished.
Private equity firm Snow Phipps is the latest company to join 545 Madison Avenue, a newly renovated office tower in Midtown, Manhattan. Marx Realty, the property owner, worked with Studios Architecture to complete the building’s transformation, which focused on elevating the hospitality aspects of the commercial property.
