Updated Plans Revealed for 231 East 94th Street Skyscraper on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Revised plans have been announced for 231 East 94th Street, an upcoming 46-story residential skyscraper in the Yorkville section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by The Chapman Group, the 524-foot-tall structure will span 385,831 square feet and yield 452 units in studio- to two-bedroom layouts with 113 of the homes dedicated to affordable housing, as well as ground floor commercial and community facility spaces and a rear yard. The development will replace two low-rise parking garages, an auto repair shop, and a vacant five-story apartment building between Second and Third Avenues.

Work Resumes on 550 Tenth Avenue After Crane Collapse in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan

Construction resumes on 550 Tenth Avenue, a 47-story residential skyscraper in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Gotham Organization and Goldman Sachs Asset Management JV, the rising 520-foot-tall structure will yield 430,000 square feet and 453 rental units, with 137 reserved for affordable housing, as well as 9,000 square feet of lower-level retail space, over 20,000 square feet of amenities, and 26,764 square feet of administrative office space for Covenant House. GO Covenant LLC is the owner and Monadnock Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located along Tenth Avenue between West 40th and 41st Streets.

Permits Filed for 106 Graham Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Permits have been filed to expand a two-story structure into a four-story mixed-use building at 106 Graham Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Located between Seigel Street and McKibbin Street, the lot is near the Montrose Avenue subway station, serviced by the L train. Oren Hakim is listed as the owner behind the applications.

200 East 75th Street Tops Out Over Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Construction recently topped out on 200 East 75th Street, an 18-story residential building in the Lenox Hill section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Beyer Blinder Belle and developed by EJS Development, which purchased the property for $32.5 million in March 2021, the 214-foot-tall structure will span 97,569 square feet and yield 36 condominium units and ground-floor retail space. Triton Construction Industry is the general contractor for the project, which is alternately addressed as 1305-1307 Third Avenue and located at the intersection of Third Avenue and East 75th Street.

Permits Filed for 597 Grand Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Located between Lorimer Street and Leonard Street, the lot is near the Lorimer Street subway station, serviced by the L train.
