Permits have been filed for two four-story residential buildings on adjacent lots at 1451-1453 Sutter Avenue, in East New York, Brooklyn. The development sites are located between Grant Avenue and Eldert Lane. Nearby transit options include the A train at Grant Avenue, and the A and C trains at Euclid Avenue. 1451-1453 Sutter Avenue, LLC is listed as the owner on the filings.

The 50-foot-tall structure at 1451 Sutter Avenue will yield 9,022 square feet of space, with 7,450 square feet dedicated to residential use. 10 apartments will be created, averaging 745 square feet apiece, indicating rentals. At 1453 Sutter Avenue, the 53-foot tall development will include 9,479 square feet spread between 10 units, averaging 948 square feet each, possibly portending condos. Both buildings will include a penthouse and a cellar.

Paul J. Hessel P.E. will be responsible for the design.

Demolition permits were filed in December for the 1960’s one-story family home on the lot. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
