Triangle’s Curtain Wall Climbing at 43-12 Hunter Street in Long Island City, Queens

Progress at 43-12 Hunter Street, now referred to as Triangle, has been moving along since the residential building recently topped out over Long Island City. The exterior curtain wall panels are about to reach the main setback near the halfway point of the 18-story reinforced concrete tower. The project is being designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Rockrose Development, which purchased the site for $1 million all the way back in 2006. Slade Architecture is in charge of the interior design.

The site is located in the booming downtown Queens neighborhood, bound by 44th Road and 43rd Avenue. A number of subways are easily accessible and within walking distance. These include the E and M at Court Square-23rd Street; the 7 and G at Court Square; the 7, N, and W at Queensboro Plaza; and the E, M, and R at Queens Plaza.

The tower will house 123 rentals along with nearly 4,000 square feet of retail on the ground floor and cellar. Amenities will include a residential lounge, a fitness center, and an outdoor rooftop terrace.

43-12 Hunter Street is expected to be finished by the end of this year.

  1. Please pardon me for using your space: Double standard not found on me with my action to each other. Especially, crippled, handicapped, deformed, lame, maimed (people). Like this work in progress I give verdict to curtain wall.

  2. The buidling appearance looks really nice and creative, for the curtain wall, may I know what brand of curtain wall sealant you are using currently? we are facade and curtain wall adhesive and supplier from China and have many famous facade projects in the world. We cooperate with Yuanda Group. Our IG sealant has been approved by EN1279 standard, the only one manufacturer in china to pass such strict standard. Hope we can supply you sealant and make your business more profitable.
