Curtain Wall Rising Rapidly on COOKFOX’s 25 Park Row in the Financial District

Work is charging toward the finish line at 25 Park Row, a 50-story residential skyscraper that has topped out over the Financial District. The curtain wall is rapidly rising and closing in on the nearly completed crown. The project is being designed by COOKFOX Architects and developed by L+M Development Partners with the Family Behind J&R Music World . Sales for the 110 residences have already launched and are being handled and marketed by Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group.

New photos show the fast-paced progress on the exterior curtain wall. The façade, which is composed of glass and precast stone panels, is around two-thirds of the way up the reinforced concrete superstructure. The hand-cast stone panels are installed first before the large glass panes with black-colored mullions go in.

COOKFOX aimed to blend the building as best as possible with the architectural and textural contexts of the surrounding edifices like the Woolworth Building and 15 Park Row, which was once the tallest structure in New York City. The two cupolas that crown the 391-foot tall, 120-year old building are now dwarfed by 25 Park Row, but still remain as a charming aspect of the Beaux Arts architectural style.

Completion of 25 Park Row is expected by the end of 2019.

  1. Its anatomy had stopped onto its height, it is youthful on construction progress. Developer is penniless toward design into the tower, and crews have worked everything clearly to explain on a person who thinks and appears as designer. Good-looking and not fierce-looking structure. (Thanks to Michael Young)
