Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 90-62 187th Street in Jamaica, Queens. Located between 90th Avenue and 91st Avenue, the lot is closest to the Hollis Long Island Railroad station and the Jamaica-179 Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Gurvinder Singh under the Citiwide Properties LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 40-foot-tall development will yield 20,018 square feet, with 13,593 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 17 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 799 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar, a 32-foot-long rear yard, and 11 enclosed parking spaces.

Walter J. Hollien Architect is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

I think Queens politicians are allowing overcrowding. School are not being built fast enough. Overcrowding starts violence.

    • Ridiculous. Overcrowding. Where are those people going to park. Will be a burden on the residents already living there. Infrastructure cannot handle. That is not a regular LIRR stop for residents to use. It is for workers of LIRR.

The 2 and 5 trains are at Flatbush in Brooklyn, you meant the F and E trains.
