Permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 990 Woodycrest Avenue in Highbridge, The Bronx. Located between West 163rd Street and West 164th Street, the lot is near the 167 Street subway station, serviced by the 4, B, and D trains. Yaniv Zohar under the Woodycrest Avenue LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 50-foot-tall development will yield 18,050 square feet, with 17,200 square feet designated for residential space and 850 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 20 residences, most likely rentals with an average unit scope of 860 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar, a penthouse, and a 41-foot-long rear yard.

Wu (Woody) Chen of Infocus is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits were filed in June of this year. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. When you’ve presented your report for me to see, I should not be neglected to go through. Which I do not read, and understand the purpose of planning. If I look at Google Maps without details, it would be cluttered like a bird hitting each other in the nest. (Hello New York YIMBY)

  2. Does anyone else see the humor of this architect working on this street?

  3. take the walk to the 4 train and tell me that it is close.

  4. So, even if a thousand of these buildings were built, that would only create space for 20 thousand families, or about 50 thousand people. The scale of construction needed to make NYC affordable is staggering.

  5. That’s some real fast walking.
