Construction has begun on 351 Marin Boulevard, a 38-story mixed-use development in Downtown Jersey City. Located between 1st Street and Bay Street, the tower will bring 507 residential units, 8,000 square feet of commercial space, 203 parking spaces, and a 4,500-square-foot public plaza to the area. Designed by Hollwich Kushner in collaboration with HLW International, 351 Marin is a joint venture between developer KRE Group and Northwestern Mutual.

New renderings show a sculptural, faceted podium with a double-height façade that rises to a geometric crown. Along the base will be a freestanding pavilion, part of the pedestrian plaza. The tallest portion of 351 Marin will rise about 383 feet, with a shorter eight-story component connected to the tower.

“We’re excited to partner with Northwestern Mutual to bring a new, mixed-use development to this prime location in Jersey City,” said Jonathan Kushner, president of KRE Group. “351 Marin will offer its residents an exceptional downtown location and urban lifestyle with unmatched walkability, and we’re thrilled to work alongside Northwestern to bring this project to life.”

Residences will break down to 205 studios, 243 one-, and 59 two-bedrooms. There will be two floors of amenities, although details of the amenity package have not been revealed. The development is a three-minute walk from the Grove Street PATH station. KRE is responsible for several residential projects in the area including Grove Pointe, 225 Grand, 18 Park, and 485 Marin.

Completion of 351 Marin is expected for sometime in 2021, with leasing scheduled to begin in the fall of that year.

  1. Thank you: Prosperity in planning or work, I think everyone likes it. Your report may not be exactly what I described, but it is in the category of progress in construction engineering. By initiating ideas or the purpose of use, and design that makes it stand out for each location.

  2. I really hope they put enough insulation to this newly built rental building…
All these rental building seems to have much lesser insulation and make people eventually move out from the building 🙁
