In an exclusive reveal, YIMBY is pleased to share new renderings of a 24-story mixed-use tower in Downtown Brooklyn designed by SLCE Architects and Fogarty Finger. Located at 141 Willoughby Street, the building was originally expected to support a mix of ground-floor retail, student housing, office space, and residential units. It was also speculated that the building could climb as high as 44 stories with approximately 310,000 buildable square feet. However, the latest pair of renderings appear to reveal a dedicated commercial tower with office suites positioned above the second floor.

Available documents from developer Savanna Real Estate do not mention any design specifications for the project. This includes an updated building footprint, construction materials, or a construction timeline.

Referring exclusively to the new renderings, it appears that the first two levels will be dedicated to a technology-focused retail tenant. The structure supports landscaped terraces above the ninth and 19th floors that will most likely be reserved for select office suites. The building features floor-to-ceiling windows with light gold metallic mullions.

At this time, it appears the renderings are still preliminary illustrations of the final project, which is currently in the design development phase. The site was formerly occupied by the Institute of Design and Construction, which was demolished in 2019.

  1. They should buy air rights from Juniors and make it taller. Its a welcomed office development to an overly luxury residential skyscraper boom in the area.
