S. Wieder Architects has revealed the first rendering of a six-story residential building in the heart of Flatbush, Brooklyn. The 25-unit property will replace a single-story auto shop and an adjacent parking lot at 2484 Bedford Avenue.

Renderings reveal a structure that differs from the surrounding low-rise brick buildings in the neighborhood in both massing and materials. Beginning at the ground floor, the façade will incorporate a mix of floor-to-ceiling glass, black metal beams, and a bronze-hued vertical mesh with pin-mounted signage. Above, the curtain wall is composed of white paneling with punched window openings and Juliet balconies that utilize a similarly hued bronzed metal for the railings. The farthest corners of the edifice on the south and east-facing elevations appear to incorporate a series of large private terraces.

In total, the building will comprise 29,027 square feet. This includes 17,912 square feet of residential area plus an enclosed parking structure designed to accommodate 13 vehicles.

Neither the latest renderings nor proposals submitted to the New York City Department of Buildings specify if any amenities will be included in the new development. The project team has not revealed when construction is expected to begin or when the property will debut.

  1. Personally, the greenery on 2484 Bedford Avenue looks a little bit too overgrown and messy. If it weren’t for that factor, I’d actually quite honestly love this building.

    • What greenery? Anyway another greaseball auto shop and junk car lot owner prevails. Same old nyc hustlers.

Thode auto shops in queens and bronx r. Gold mines. Recurring insurwnce repair revenue and steady 4.5 percent value gain. With low assessed values perhaps.

  2. Please send me some information thank about the rent
