Full demolition permits have been filed for 335 West 39th Street in Midtown West, Manhattan. According to the filing, the site is owned by Jonah Kriger under the 335 West 39th Street Realty Company and currently houses a four-story commercial building with three units. It appears Penn Plaza Consultants is also involved in the partnership. The 43-foot-tall structure was built in 1910.

It is unclear what is planned for the 2,475-square-foot lot that sits between two high-rise buildings, a 32-story Hampton Inn hotel to the west and a 14-story office building to the east. With a narrow 25-foot-long frontage, the future development will have a small footprint but reside within proximity of both Times Square and Hudson Yards.

No renderings or an estimated completion date have been released.

335 West 39th Street is located between Eighth and Ninth Avenues. The lot is one block south of Port Authority and the 42nd Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal subway station, serviced by the A, C, E trains with additional connections to the 1, 2, 3, 7, N, W, Q, and R trains at the Time Square transit hub.

South Bay Engineering is listed as the applicant of record.

Good gawd! Streetview shows that nasty sidewalk shed has been there since before 2013! Will something finally happen here? I bet the neighbors are praying for it.
The tall building to the east will lose a ton of lot line windows…

  2. Yes, can’t anybody do something about those 8 yr. scaffoldings? There is some law, I understand, but no enforcement

    • DeBlasio has decided to destroy the city.
From taxes to Communism to BLM graffitis.
Nothing will change but increased blight, crime and violence.
