Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 102 East 53rd Street in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Located between Winthrop Street and Clarkson Avenue, the interior lot is closest to the Saratoga Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2, 3, and 4 trains. Sam Eshaghoff’s West Egg Development in conjunction with Bobby Shamsian of Brookbridge Developers is responsible for the new project. The team also filed permits recently for two neighboring four-story residential buildings at 76 and 104 East 53rd Street.

The proposed 38-foot-tall development will yield 5,620 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have eight residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 702 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar, penthouse, and a 30-foot-long rear yard.

Shahin Badaly of Badaly Architects is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits have not been filed yet for the single-family residence on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
