Permits have been filed for a four-story mixed-use building at 5-01 47th Road in Long Island City, Queens. Located at the intersection of 5th Street and 47th Road, the corner lot is closest to the Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue subway station, serviced by the 7 train. Stephen Sloop Trust is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 65-foot-tall development will yield 8,339 square feet, with 8,033 square feet designated for residential space and 145 square feet for commercial space. The building will have eight residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,004 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar but no accessory parking.

Igor Zaslavskiy of Zproekt is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits were filed in August 2020. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  3. You saw this one coming. Too bad, it’s a cool old structure and would have been awesome if refurbed as a funky bar-restaurant. That is, in a world where everyone running New York wasn’t a complete idiot and we all acknowledged that Covid is a gigantic con. Meanwhile, we shall continue grinding bars and restaurants into powder.
