Affordable Housing Lottery Launches for One Boerum Place in Downtown Brooklyn

The affordable housing lottery has launched for One Boerum Place, a 21-story mixed-use building in Downtown Brooklyn. The development is designed by SLCE Architects and is being developed by Avery Hall Investments, Allegra Holdings, and Aria Development Group. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 42 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $68,572 to $167,570.

Residential amenities include a two-story fitness center, swimming pool, sauna, entertainment lounge, a children’s playroom, a 24/7 doorman and concierge service, a parking garage, a storage room, and a landscaped rooftop deck with an outdoor kitchen and seating. Units will have hardwood floors, energy-efficient appliances, air conditioning, washer and dryer in unit, smart controls for heating and cooling, and private patios or balconies.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are three studios with a $2,000 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $68,572 to $124,150; seven studios with a $2,100 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $72,000 to $124,150; 11 one-bedrooms with a $2,475 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $84,858 to $139,620; and 21 two-bedrooms with a $3,120 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $106,972 to $167,570.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than August 3, 2021.

  7. Studios at $2,000 – how is this affordable?
    You can get a 1BDR apartment for $1,400- $1,600. Smh!
