Permits Filed for 1262 Bushwick Avenue in Bushwick, Brooklyn

Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 1262 Bushwick Avenue in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of Bushwick Avenue and Halsey Street, the lot is two blocks from the Halsey Street subway station, serviced by the J train. Salvatore D’Avola of Neighborhood Restore HDFC, an affordable housing development non-profit is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 42-foot-tall development will yield 10,293 square feet, with 8,944 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have eight residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,118 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and a 30-foot-long rear yard.

Suzanna Tharian of Stat Architecture is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
