Exterior work is nearing completion as scaffolding disassembly has begun on The Alfred on Fleet, a 12-story residential building at 112 Fleet Place in Downtown Brooklyn. Alternately addressed as 167 Willoughby Street, the 24,250-square-foot project is designed by Bricolage Design Associates and developed by Boomerang Development Group and will yield 23 condominium units. The property is located at the intersection of Fleet Place and Willoughby Street.

Recent photographs show the finished look of the façade on the wide eastern elevation, which is symmetrically designed with stacked balconies lined with glass railings and floor-to-ceiling windows. Strips of metal panels are placed in between. The overall façade has a mix of light and dark gray surfaces, along with thin black strips that align with the floor plates and run around all sides except the blank western profile that faces Flatbush Avenue Extension.

Compared to what we saw in our last update, the top half of the scaffolding has since been taken down as well as the exterior mechanical hoist. All the scaffolding and netting on the slender southern wall is now disassembled.

Construction had been a bit on the slow side ever since the superstructure topped out, so it’s good to see The Alfred on Fleet getting closer to completion. It was reported that the building will have no more than two condominiums per floor, with amenities including a communal rooftop deck, bicycle storage, and on-site parking. The closest subways to 112 Fleet Place are the B, Q, and R trains at the DeKalb Avenue station underneath the City Point complex; the 2 and 3 trains at the corner of Hoyt Street and Fulton Street; and the R to the west along Willoughby Street at the Jay Street-MetroTech station.

A formal completion date for The Alfred on Fleet has not been announced, but YIMBY estimates that things can wrap up by the end of this year.

  1. I guess it’s just a modern midrise residential building. It ain’t a bad one, but it’s not a very exciting or unique one either.

  2. ugly and cheap
