The affordable housing lottery has launched for 26 Quincy Street, a five-story residential building in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Designed by Jeffrey Kamen, the structure yields 43 residences and 22 parking spaces. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 13 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $83,349 to $167,570.

Residents will have access to covered parking, a dog park, bike storage lockers, common area Wi-Fi, gym, a recycling center, lobby with a package room, and a rooftop terrace. Units include name-brand appliances and finishes, dishwasher, air conditioning, washers and dryers, and private outdoor space in select units.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are three studios with a monthly rent of $2,431 for incomes ranging from $83,349 to $124,150; seven one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,592 for incomes ranging from $88,869 to $139,620; and three two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,090 for incomes ranging from $105,943 to $167,570.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than September 3, 2021.

Please tell me how is this affordable housing when you have the rent ranging from $2500 and up my 2daughters work and i get ssi but everytime housing connect call us they say we make to much how is that if we live in a section 8 housing you guy’s are real jokes and need to be stop we looking to live nice and you are playing with our living telling us we make to much or to less some people don’t even have a job but you telling us this affordable housing tell me how is this affordable housing I’m going to go to the board and chairman and councilman of the town of Brooklyn Queens about this so call affordable housing that alot of people can’t meet the standards requirements to move into one now I’m going to try one last time
