The affordable housing lottery has launched for Austin 147, an 11-story residential building at 880 East 147th Street in Mott Haven, The Bronx. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Dunn Development Corp., the structure yields 80 units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 16 units for residents at 40 to 80 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $23,520 to $103,120.

Amenities include common area Wi-Fi, a gym, community center, playground, and rooftop terrace. Residences have air conditioning and energy-efficient appliances.

At 40 percent of the AMI, there is one studio with a monthly rent of $622 for incomes ranging from $23,520 to $38,200; three one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $731 for incomes ranging from $27,532 to $42,960; and four two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $888 for incomes ranging from $33,635 to $51,560.

At 50 percent of the AMI, there are two two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $1,139 for incomes ranging from $42,240 to $64,450.

At 80 percent of the AMI, there is one one-bedroom with a monthly rent of $1,501 for incomes ranging from $53,932 to $85,920; five two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $1,813 for incomes ranging from $65,349 to $103,120.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than July 21, 2021.

    You post all this nice buildings but no information how you go about applying to this new buildings

    These new affordable apartments are federally funded, but owned by the state. Why is the rent still not affordable and I know all new developments are getting a tax exemption for call theirselves affordable. If you are receiving a tax exemption for this building and is over charging the public, you are going to HELL for your greed!
