Permits have been filed for a ten-story mixed-use residential building at 25-10 42nd Road in Long Island City, Queens. Located at the intersection of Crescent Street and 42nd Road, the 82,365-square-foot lot is one block south of the Queensboro Plaza subway station, serviced by the 7, N, and W trains. The Queens Plaza station is also within walking distance, serviced by the E, M, and R trains. Mason Chen of Greenpoint Construction Corp. is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 108-foot-tall development will yield a total of 114 units. The building will have six stories comprised of 92 hotel rooms and four residential floors with 22 apartments, as well as ground-floor retail. The concrete-based structure will have 60 feet of frontage along Adams Street and 48 enclosed parking spaces.
Alexander Zabasajja of AZSK Architects PC is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits are not needed as the site is vacant. A completion date has not been announced.

The hotel market in LIC is pretty crowded. But then again, if you don’t have bed bugs that puts you into the top echelon of hotels.
