Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 340 Myrtle Avenue in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Located between Carlton Avenue and Adelphi Street, the 9,696-square-foot lot is within walking distance of the Clinton-Washington Avenues subway station, serviced by the G train. Marisol Diaz is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 85-foot-tall development will yield 33,308 square feet, with 28,648 square feet designated for residential space, 4,308 square feet for commercial space, and 352 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 43 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 666 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar but no accessory parking.

Rawlings Architects is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits have not been filed for the single-story commercial building on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. I guess the inconvience of losing a neighborhood laundromat, is justified to provide much needed housing. Hopefully the new building will have it’s own laundry facilities for the new tenants?

    As for those who use the current one, there’s probably one further out of their way and more inconvenient?

  2. Yes! That dumpy furniture store has been holding a “store closing everything must go!” sale for as long as I can remember, glad it’s finally actually happening.
