  1. this isn’t affordable housing this is income linked rentals. What a joke and stop saying this is “affordable housing”. AFFORDABLE TO WHO EXACTLY?

  2. If you notice the rest of the block is 4 story brownstones and the Newswalk building at 9 stories.
ESD overrode local zoning and used eminent domain to destroy the 2 and 3 story buildings on this site so this developer could build this and pocket huge profits at the expense of NYC taxpayers.
Not one of the NYC elected officials or anyone from the community had any say as to what happened . Totally wrong!
    Develop Don’t Destroy Brooklyn

    • Otherwise known as how much of the city has developed over the past one hundred years.

      • NFA
eminent domain is supposed to be used for the common good, not to destroy peoples private homes so a huge developer from China called Greenland holdings (which is wholly owned by the Communist government of China) can lease the land to the Brodsky organization and build a skyscraper in a low rise neighborhood of Prospect heights.
Also so that same conglomerate developer can reap huge profits off the backs of NYC taxpayers under the guise of “affordable housing” using the 421-A tax breaks worth millions of dollars

  3. read journalist Norman Oder for more info

    • I advise all new Yorkers, think before you vote these democratic politicians in office, because this what you get, lies, broken promises, they never wanted AY/PARK to be for lowincome residents, these politicians just wanted your vote, nothing but dam tricksters, no more votes for democratic politicians, I didn’t say run to the Republicans either, AFFORDABLE HOUSING, YEAH SURE, STOP PUTTING THESE NO GOOD POLITICIANS IN OFFICE, SMH

  4. This building is at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Pacific Street, but neither of those roads are named Plank Road. Can someone explain what’s up with the decision to name a building as if it were a street? Imagine if there was a building named “Flatbush Avenue”, “Main Street”, or “Grand Concourse”, and you can understand my confusion.

  5. Affordable Housing for
    Who???
Affordable Housing looks different in different neighborhoods
    Affordable Housing in East NY
    Or Brownsville looks totally different
Affordable Housing Design to segregate neighborhoods and schools
Keep them in their same old place
