95-01 37th Avenue in Jackson Heights, Queens via NYC Housing Connect

The affordable housing lottery has launched for 95-01 37th Avenue, a six-story mixed-use building in Jackson Heights, Queens. Designed by Angelo Ng & Anthony Ng Architects Studio and developed by Shun Qian Liu under the Prudential Queens Realty LLC, the structure yields 49 residences and 8,737 square feet of commercial space. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 14 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $66,858 to $187,330.

Amenities include pet-friendly policies, a parking garage with 25 spaces, bike storage lockers, shared laundry room, gymnasium, recreation room, virtual doorman, gated access, recycling center, package lockers, and green spaces including a rooftop terrace. Units come equipped with dishwasher, energy-efficient appliances, air conditioning, and either a patio or balcony. Tenants are responsible for electricity, gas stove, electric hot water, and electric heat.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are seven one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $1,950 for incomes ranging from $66,858 to $187,330 and seven two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,650 for incomes ranging from $90,858 to $187,330.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than May 17, 2022.

    It is a bit of a stretch to call this “Jackson Heights.”

    THIS IS INCOME LINKED HOUSING
    This is only affordable to upper income people and not the low income people who live in this neighborhood.
    421A is a taxpayer subsidy to multi millionaire developers and will hopefully disappear as soon as June 15th.
    This is a joke to call this affordable!
