The affordable housing lottery has launched for 2001 Nostrand Avenue, a six-story residential building in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Designed by DJLU Architects and developed by The Edge Developers’ Mark Weinberger, the structure yields 53 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 16 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $75,429 to $187,330.

Residences feature high ceilings, air conditioning, and name-brand kitchen appliances, countertops, and finishes. Select units come with patios or balconies. Amenities include a gym, a garage, a rooftop terrace, storage, and a shared laundry room. Tenants are responsible for electricity.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are four one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,200 for incomes ranging from $75,429 to $156,130; seven one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,250 for incomes ranging from $77,143 to $156,130; three two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,450 for incomes ranging from $84,000 to $187,330; and two two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,500 for incomes ranging from $85,715 to $187,330.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than November 25, 2022.
