Permits have been filed to expand a four-story residential building at 257 N 7th Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Located between Roebling Street and Havemeyer Street, the interior lot is two blocks from the Bedford Avenue subway station, serviced by the L train. Joe Falkowitz of The Hamilton Group is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 46-foot-tall development will yield 7,950 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have eight residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 883 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and a 34-foot-long rear yard.

Amr Ouda is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for a vertical and horizontal expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  2. Why is this continuously called affordable housing? Who are these apartments for? Put these on a different site; not Housing Connect.
