The City of Bayonne in New Jersey has approved proposals to construct the first phase of NY Vue, a 26-story residential tower set to become the city’s tallest structure. The tower is planned to take shape on a 155,000-square-foot parcel at the intersection of Chosin Few Way and 40th Street near the Hudson River waterfront.
Plans for the development were submitted by Om Ganesh LLC, a subsidiary of Ramani Group, a full-service real estate development, construction, and property management firm. When complete, the building will house 281 rental apartments in studio to three-bedroom floor plans. The development will create a new public plaza along 40th Street, plus access to three retail spaces at the base of the podium and 556 parking spaces.
Renderings are attributed to Jorge Mastropietro Architects Atelier and depict a 20-story recessed volume set atop a six-story podium. The façade features a mix of tan cladding, floor-to-ceiling windows arranged in a grid pattern, and a pair of multi-story window walls beginning on the seventh and 19th floors.

The renderings also show an open-air amenity deck on the podium’s roof. Recreational spaces include a basketball court, a running track, a pool and sundeck, pergola-shaded lounge areas, a dog park, and open green spaces. Residents will also have access to a roof deck offering views of the Hudson River and the surrounding area.
Amenities inside the building will include a gym, a business center, a gaming room, a golf simulator, a spa, a communal lounge, and a private kitchen.
Construction is expected to break ground this summer. When complete, the NY Vue complex could include five more high-rise towers. The project team has not announced when those future phases might begin construction.
