Renderings Revealed for ODA-Designed Boerum Hill Condominiums at 24 4th Avenue

120 Java Street isn’t the only church-to-residential project YIMBY can reveal today. We also have a fresh rendering for 24 Fourth Avenue, rising just steps from Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, in Boerum Hill. Designed by ODA Architecture, the 12-story, mixed-use building will contain 72 residences, ground floor retail, a community facility, and an enclosed parking structure with accommodations for 16 vehicles.

Church At 24 4th Avenue Being Demolished For Development, Boerum Hill

The Church of the Redeemer, at 24 4th Avenue near the Barclays Center in Boerum Hill, is slated for demolition this fall to make way for a yet-to-be-determined development, according to The Wall Street Journal. Jackson Group acquired the property for $20 million in 2010, and the contents of the church will likely be sold. Demolition permits were filed in May, and a pre-demolition inspection conducted earlier this July passed.
