Housing Lottery Launches for Third at Bankside, at 2401 3rd Avenue in Mott Haven, The Bronx

The affordable housing lottery has launched for Third at Bankside, two 25-story towers and one 17-story building atop an eight-story podium at 2401 3rd Avenue in Mott Haven, The Bronx. Designed by Hill West Architects with interiors by Whitehall Interiors and developed by Brookfield Properties, the structure yields 450 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 134 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $61,543 to $167,570.

Façade Work Progresses on Bankside’s 2401 3rd Avenue Complex in Mott Haven, The Bronx

Exterior work is continuing to shape up on 2401 Third Avenue, a three-tower complex designed by Hill West Architects in Brookfield Properties‘ Bankside master plan in Mott Haven, The Bronx. The 4.3-acre development is a combination of two sites along the northern side of the Harlem River. 2401 Third Avenue is located on the western side of the Third Avenue Bridge, and 101 Lincoln Avenue is the larger counterpart found on the opposite side. Bankside will provide seven residential buildings, 15,000 square feet of retail space, a community facility run by a local nonprofit yet to be named, and 34,000 square feet of public waterfront space. Brookfield purchased the two parcels for $165 million in September 2018 from Somerset Partners and The Chetrit Group. Ground was first broken on 2401 Third Avenue in the fall of 2019, and construction on Bankside is expected to cost $950 million and yield 1,370 units.

Two 25-Story Mixed-Use Towers Planned At 101 Lincoln and 2401 Third Avenues, Port Morris

Earlier this year, Chetrit Group and Somerset Partners purchased two Bronx waterfront development sites at 2401 3rd Avenue and 101 Lincoln Avenue, in Port Morris, surrounding both sides of the Third Avenue Bridge, and now Curbed has the details for their project. The developers plan two 25-story towers totaling 1,600 residential units, across 1.3 million square feet, and retail space will span the first two floors. The site is currently occupied by warehouses.
