Housing Lottery Launches for 26-36 4th Street in Astoria, Queens

The affordable housing lottery has launched for 26-36 4th Street, a six-story mixed-use building in Astoria, Queens. Designed by Gerald Caliendo and developed by Dr. Baldhevai Patel, the structure yields 10 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are three units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $87,429 to $165,230.

While two megaprojects, Astoria Cove and Hallets Point, inch toward reality in western Astoria, smaller developers have begun to eye the little peninsula that juts out into the East River, just south of Astoria Park. One such builder, Dr. Baldhevai Patel, hopes to build a six-story mixed-use development at 23-36 4th Street, between 26th and 27th Avenues.
