J Frank Associates has released preliminary renderings of a recently approved residential development in Astoria, Queens. The seven-story building will be located on a 25,000-square-foot through-block lot at 26-30 4th Street.
Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 30-90 Steinway Street in Astoria, Queens. Located between 30th Avenue and 31st Avenue, the lot is six blocks west of the 46th Street subway station, serviced by the E, M, and R trains. John Budis under the Emmars Equities LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Robert De Niro has plans to bring a 650,000-square-foot facility dedicated to film, television, and augmented and virtual reality to Astoria, Queens. Initial renderings from Bjarke Ingels Group reveal a “vertical village” over the former site of a Steinway & Sons Piano Storage Facility at 87 19th Avenue. The $400-million project will house offices, production support, stages, and lounges.
Mega Realty Holding and the Pancyprian Association are working in partnership to develop a new mixed-use property at 22-60 46th Street in the Ditmars-Steinway section of Astoria, Queens. Pending approvals from the city’s Department of Buildings, the development would yield 173,000 square feet of affordable and market-rate rentals, retail, and a small performance venue for the Cyprian and Hellenic communities.
A forthcoming development from Cape Advisors and Wainbridge Capital will soon introduce more than 500 rental apartments to Astoria’s blossoming waterfront area. Located at 30-77 Vernon Boulevard, the construction site spans 522,000 square feet or approximately two-and-a-half acres of land.
