Six-Story, 57-Unit Residential Building Tops Out At 75 Ralph Avenue, Bedford-Stuyvesant

In April 2014, YIMBY reported on filings for a six-story, 57-unit residential building at 75 Ralph Avenue, in eastern Bedford-Stuyvesant, and then we revealed renderings of the project the following April. Today, the the 38,240 square-foot structure is topped out, and façade installation appears imminent, per Brownstoner. Charles Mallea is designing, and the project is located three blocks from the Gates Avenue stop on the J/Z trains. Velocity Framers USA is developing, and completion is likely by 2016.

Construction Underway At 1700 Broadway, Site Of Six-Story, 79-Unit Mixed-Use Building, Ocean Hill

Foundation work is currently underway at 1700 Broadway, in Ocean Hill, where a six-story, 79-unit mixed-use building is planned, a block from the J/Z train’s stop at Chauncey Street. According to Brownstoner, the building — being developed by SUS and Alembic Community Development — will be 100% affordable, and will feature 4,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Peter Woll is the architect of record, and completion is expected in 2016.



802 Myrtle Avenue

Nine-Story, 44-Unit Building Revealed At 802 Myrtle Avenue, Bed-Stuy

In April of 2014, YIMBY brought you news of A-1 Properties’ planned mixed-use building at 802 Myrtle Avenue, in northern Bedford-Stuyvesant, and now Curbed has the reveal, designed by J. Frankl Associates (with Charles Mallea serving as architect of record). The project’s figures have been revised, and plans now call for a nine-story, 44-unit rental building, which will also include 5,700 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. Completion is expected in the second half of 2016.


481 Monroe Street

Five-Story, Five-Unit Residential Building Coming To 481 Monroe Street, Bed-Stuy

Queens-based Cornerstone Dvi LLC has filed applications for a five-story, five-unit residential building at 481 Monroe Street, in central Bedford-Stuyvesant. The building will measure 4,885 square feet, which works out to units averaging 977 square feet, and could either be rentals or condos. Woody Chen’s InFocus Design & Planning is the applicant of record, and an existing two-story townhouse must first be demolished.
