Reveal For 17-Story, 134-Unit Mixed-Use Building At 810 River Avenue, South Bronx

Renderings have surfaced for M. Melnick & Company’s planned 17-story, 134-unit mixed-use building at 810 River Avenue, in the Concourse, a block from the B, D and 4 trains’ stop at 161st Street/Yankee Stadium. Per Curbed, the building will measure 151,250 square feet in total, and will feature 24,560 and 1,680 square feet of retail and community space, respectively, across the first two stories. Apartments will average 933 square feet, and SLCE Architects is designing. Excavation work is currently underway.

Four-Story, Eight-Unit Residential Building Filed At 192 East 205th Street, Bedford Park

Nush Rudaj has filed applications for a four-story, eight-unit residential building at 192 East 205th Street, in Bedford Park, five blocks north of the B/D train’s Bedford Park Boulevard stop. The building will measure 7,000 square feet, which means units will average 875 square feet. Nassau County-based Shahriar Afshari is the applicant of record, and demolition permits were filed in June to remove the existing 2.5-story wood-framed structure, which sold for $240,000 this past May.

Baldor Specialty Foods Expanding Hunts Point Facility At 155 Food Center Drive

Baldor Specialty Foods is planning a 100,000 square-foot, $20 million expansion at their food-manufacturing and distribution facility at 155 Food Center Drive, in the southern part of Hunts Point. According to The Wall Street Journal, the current facility measures 193,000 square feet, and the expansion will mostly include new temperature zones for produce, as well as new loading docks.

Three Stories, Eight Residential Units Planned At 1332 Taylor Avenue, Soundview

Newburgh, NY-based property owner Artan Prelaj has filed applications for two three-story residential buildings spanning the 1330-1332 Taylor Avenue, in northern Soundview, three blocks from the 6 train’s stop at St Lawrence Avenue. The development will net eight residential units and will spread across 5,580 square feet, for units averaging a rental-sized 700 square feet. Fred Geremia is the architect of record, and the site’s former 2.5-story structure was demolished earlier this year.
