Construction is now complete on the Pendry Manhattan West Hotel, a 281-foot-tall mixed-use structure at Four Manhattan West in Midtown West. Designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill and developed by Brookfield Properties, the 21-story project makes up one of five separate buildings in the Manhattan West master plan, which sits directly across Tenth Avenue from Hudson Yards. The property is located along West 33rd Street between Ninth and Tenth Avenues, wedged between One Manhattan West and Five Manhattan West, and will yield 164 guest rooms as well as condominiums on the upper levels.

Construction is rising steadily at Two Manhattan West, a 935-foot-tall commercial skyscraper in Midtown West and number ten on our countdown of the tallest projects under construction in New York. Designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill and developed by Brookfield, the 58-story structure is rising directly to the south of the completed One Manhattan West, its 996-foot-tall fraternal twin. Two Manhattan West is rising at the corner of West 31st Street and Ninth Avenue and will feature the same architectural design like its northern sibling with yield 2 million square feet of office space at an expected cost of $2 billion.

Construction is approaching topping out on One Bell Slip, a 368-foot-tall residential tower in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Brookfield Property Partners and Park Tower Group, the 31-story building will add 413 units to the 22-acre, ten-tower Greenpoint Landing riverfront development. Work is progressing on the re-cladding of 1100 Avenue of the Americas, a 15-story office building at the corner of West 42nd Street and Sixth Avenue in Midtown. Designed by MdeAS Architects for Brookfield Properties, the project involves an interior renovation and installation of a modern, transparent glass façade on the 386,190-square-foot structure. AECOM Tishman is the general contractor for the project, which is located across from the northern corner of Bryant Park and to the east of COOKFOX‘s One Bryant Park.

New Renderings Reveal 39-Story Reclad of 660 Fifth Avenue, in Midtown

YIMBY has a new batch of renderings that depict a full re-cladding of the 39-story 660 Fifth Avenue, a commercial building located between West 52nd Street and West 53rd Street. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Brookfield Properties, the $400 million project includes a 21st century facelift as well as the renovation of 1.5 million square feet of office space. Work is planned to commence once the ten remaining leases are completed and tenants vacate, some 12 to 18 months from now, as reported in a previous Wall Street Journal story.
