Four-Story, Eight-Unit Residential Building Filed at 689 Quincy Street, Bedford-Stuyvesant

A Queens-based LLC has filed applications for a four-story, eight-unit residential building at 689 Quincy Street, in the heart of Bedford-Stuyvesant. The project will measure 8,300 square feet and its residential units should average 750 square feet apiece, indicative of rental apartments. Woody Chen’s Elmhurst-based Infocus Design & Planning is the architect of record. The 30-foot-wide, 3,000-square-foot property is occupied by a four-story townhouse. Demolition permits have not been filed.

New building applications for single and multi-family residential developments in New York City saw a major slowdown in 2016, as the fading boom following the changes that occurred at the Department of Buildings in 2014 began to slack further. Mixed-Use Project with Residential Units Planned at 191 Harrison Avenue, Williamsburg

Developer Abraham Brach has acquired, for $27.5 million, the 30,000-square-foot development site at 191 Harrison Avenue, located between Bartlett and Gerry streets in the Broadway Triangle section of Williamsburg. The new owner plans to build a mixed-use project with community facility space, geared toward the Orthodox Jewish community, and residential units, The Real Deal reported. The site can accommodate up to 120,000 square feet of development. It’s occupied by multiple dilapidated, low-rise commercial-warehouses, ranging from one to three stories. Demolition permits have yet to be filed.

Four-Story, Seven-Unit Residential Project Filed at 122 Huron Street, Greenpoint

Brooklyn-based Cardinal Properties has filed applications for a four-story, seven-unit residential building at 122 Huron Street, in Greenpoint. The project will measure 7,930 square feet and its residential units should average 798 square feet apiece, indicative of rental apartments. Wieslawa Jasiulewicz Majran’s Glendale, N.Y.-based firm is the architect of record. The 28-foot-wide, 2,792-square-foot lot is occupied by a three-story townhouse. Demolition permits have not been filed.
