Property owner Chaim Sieger has filed applications for a three-story, three-unit residential project at 1706 48th Street, in Borough Park. The structure will measure 8,773 square feet and its full-floor residential units should average 2,193 square feet apiece, indicative of condominiums. It will be topped by a roof terrace. Kenneth Thomas’s Nanuet, N.Y.-based company is the applicant of record. The 3,656-square-foot property, located on the corner of Old New Utrecht Road, is currently occupied by a two-story house. Brooklyn-based Scarano Realty has filed applications for a six-story, 10-unit mixed-use building at 326 Avenue U, in central Gravesend. The project will measure 11,661 square feet. It will include retail space in the cellar and on a mezzanine level connected to the ground floor. The residential units will be located on the second through sixth floors and should average 626 square feet apiece, indicative of rental apartments. Amenities will include six off-street parking spaces, storage for 20 bikes, a recreation room on the ground floor, laundry facilities, and a roof terrace. David Silberman’s Flushing-based firm is the applicant of record. The 2,227-square-foot property is currently vacant. The Avenue U stop on the F train is down the block.

Four-Story, Eight-Unit Residential Project Coming to 982 Willoughby Avenue, Bushwick

Brooklyn-based developer Urban View has filed applications for a four-story, eight-unit residential building at 982 Willoughby Avenue, in western Bushwick. The structure will measure 7,500 square feet and its residential unit should average 864 square feet apiece, indicative of rental apartments. Two of the units on the fourth floor will also feature space within an upper penthouse level. Woody Chen’s Elmhurst-based Infocus Design & Planning is the architect of record. The 33-foot-wide, 3,142-square-foot property is currently occupied by a three-story townhouse. Demolition permits have not been filed. The Central Avenue stop on the M train is three blocks away.
