Named the “Marcus Garvey Extension,” the new development will comprise 908,460 gross square feet with anticipated completion in 2024.

The site is five blocks away from the Atlantic Avenue subway station, serviced by the L trains; the East New York train station is also nearby, serviced by the LIRR. Now, permits have been filed for the site, which also goes by 3 Livonia Avenue, in Brownsville, Brooklyn. The project will be named Edwin’s Place, and will be the fifth project in Brooklyn by the non-profit partnership of Breaking Ground and The African American Planning Commission Inc.
