Three New York City Sites Nominated for the New York State and National Registers of Historic Places

New York Governor Kathy Hochul has announced that two properties and an entire neighborhood in New York City have been nominated for inclusion in State and National Registers of Historic Places. The nominees are the English Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Reformation in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn, the Temple Israel of the City of New York on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, and a bid to recognize the Prospect Lefferts Gardens Historic District, also in Brooklyn.

Developers Celebrate Groundbreaking on Logan Fountain at 265 Logan Street in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn 

Developers and elected officials recently joined for a groundbreaking ceremony at Logan Fountain, a 169-unit mixed-income housing property at 265 Logan Street in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn. Designed by MHG Architects and developed in collaboration by The Hudson Companies, Jericho Project, and HELP USA, the 13-story building is the latest development to break ground as a result of the 2016 East New York Rezoning Initiative and will comprise a mix of affordable and supportive housing units. Construction began in August and is expected to wrap up by the end of 2024.

The affordable housing lottery has launched for 168 Force Tube Avenue, a three-story residential building in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn. Developed by Lo Sardo General Contractors, the structure yields 22,006 square feet and 26 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are eight units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $63,429 to $215,150.
