Developer Acquires Riverside Center Sites Of Planned 34- and 36-Story Buildings, Lincoln Square

Extell Development and The Carlyle Group have sold two development sites within the Riverside Center mega-development, in Lincoln Square, to GID Development for $264.865 million. The properties include 10 Riverside Boulevard and 639 West 59th Street, and the previous developers have already filed applications for residential buildings. Earlier this year, YIMBY reported on plans for a 36-story, 288-unit building at 10 Riverside. And over the summer, we brought you news of plans for a 34-story, 244-unit residential building at 639 West 59th Street. Both buildings will have small retail components, and Goldstein Hill & West Architects is the architect of record. Commercial Observer was the first to report on the sale.



2505 Bruckner Boulevard

Extell Acquires Large East Bronx Commercial Development Site At 2505 Bruckner Boulevard

Extell Development has purchased the East Bronx property at 2505 Bruckner Boulevard, in Schuylerville, from Lightstone Group for $41 million. The development site is currently occupied by the former 14-screen Whitestone Mutiplex Cinemas building, which Lightstone shut down in 2013 with plans to build a shopping complex. The one-million square-foot property boasts roughly 829,000 square feet of commercial development rights, according to The Real Deal.

1681 Third Avenue

30-Story, 83-Unit Condo Building Under Construction At 200 East 95th Street, Upper East Side

Earlier this year, YIMBY revealed renderings of Extell Development’s 30-story, 83-unit mixed-use building planned at 200 East 95th Street/1681 Third Avenue, on the Upper East Side, and now foundation work is underway, according to DNAinfo. The building is being dubbed The Kent, and its 83 units will be condominiums spanning two- to five-bedrooms apiece. Ground-floor retail space will also measure 14,000 square feet, and Beyer Blinder Belle is the architect of record. Completion is expected in the second half of 2017.


252 South Street

Extell’s 80-Story, 800+ Unit Tower At 252 South Street Revealed, Lower East Side

Earlier this year, YIMBY revealed the first few renderings of Extell Development’s 252 South Street, on the Lower East Side (in the Two Bridges neighborhood), and now Bloomberg Business has the full reveal for the 80-story tower. Dubbed One Manhattan Square, the building will have more than 800 condominiums, and will feature 50,000 square feet and 40,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities, respectively. Foundation work is well underway, and completion is expected by early 2019. Adam Associates is the architect of record.
