As plans to renovate and expand the ACME Smoked Fish Factory and warehouse enter final stages of the city’s Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP), developers and local advocates are banding together to rally the New York City Council’s support and approval of the project.
Façade installation is nearing completion on One Bell Slip, a 31-story residential tower in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Brookfield Property Partners and Park Tower Group, the 369-foot-tall structure will yield 413 units spread across 292,029 square feet, as well as 992 square feet of commercial space. The project is located at the corner of Bell Slip and Commercial Street along the Newton Creek and East River waterfront and is part of the Greenpoint Landing riverfront development.
Construction has topped out on 227 West Street, a pair of 30- and 40-story residential towers in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by OMA with Beyer Blinder Belle as the architect of record and developed by Brookfield Property Partners and Park Tower Group, the 450- and 351-foot tall towers are part of the 22-acre Greenpoint Landing development along the East River. James Corner Field Operations is the landscape architect, DeSimone Consulting Engineers is the structural engineer, Thornton Tomasetti is the façade consultant, and Highbury Concrete is responsible for building the superstructures.
Leasing has launched at The West, a new residential building located at 144 West Street near the East River waterfront in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The seven-story boutique structure is designed by GF55 Partners and developed by Caspi Development and Barone Management. Corcoran New Development is the exclusive leasing agent.
A new rendering of a proposed condominium building offers the first look at what could become of a narrow vacant lot at 151 Freeman Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by Pliskin Architecture, the building is expected to rise four stores above ground and comprise 7,084 total square feet.
