Demolition prep is underway at 15 Beekman Street, a 14-story structure in the Financial District. Located by the corner of Nassau and Beekman Streets directly across from Frank Gehry’s residential skyscraper at 8 Spruce Street, the site will eventually give rise to a 27-story mixed-use tower addressed as 126-132 Nassau Street. SL Green Realty is listed as the owner behind the applications for the future 338-foot-tall Pace University academic center and dormitory. Manish Chadha of Ismael Leyva Architects is listed as the architect of record.

Façade work is making progress on 232 East 54th Street, a 420-foot-tall residential tower in Midtown East. The 40-story structure is designed by Ismael Leyva Architects, and Elk Investors is last reported to be its exclusive developer, though ownership may have fully transferred to Mossanen Group and an LLC known as East 54th St. Properties. The topped-out tower rises between Second and Third Avenues, not far from landmarks like the Lipstick Building and 601 Lexington Avenue, formerly known as the Citigroup Center.
