Harborside 1-3 Completes Renovation in Jersey City, New Jersey

Renovation work is complete on the three-building Harborside complex along the downtown Jersey City waterfront. Designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects and developed by Mack-Cali Realty Corporation and SJP Properties, the project involved the re-cladding and interior refurbishment of the commercial office structures, which occupy a long rectangular parcel bound by Harborside Place to the north, Hudson Street to the west, and Christopher Columbus Drive to the south. The overhaul was planned to cost around $75 million and achieve LEED Gold certification.

Haus25 Wraps Up Construction at 25 Columbus Drive in Jersey City

At number 24 on YIMBY’s annual construction countdown is Haus25, a 626-foot-tall mixed-use skyscraper nearing completion at 25 Columbus Drive in Jersey City. Designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects and developed by Veris Residential, the 57-story tower will yield 750 units with interiors designed by Fogarty Finger and a school designed by KSS Architects in the low-rise podium. Melillo + Bauer Associates is the landscape designer, DeSimone Consulting Engineers is the structural engineer, Inglese Architecture + Engineering is the Civil Engineer, and AMA Consulting Engineers is the mechanical engineer for the project, which is bound by Christopher Columbus Drive to the north, Montgomery Street to the south, Washington Street to the east, and Warren Street to the west.

Smorgasburg Debuts 300-Seat Outdoor Venue at Jersey City’s Harborside Commercial Campus

This week, Smogasburg opened a new 300-seat outdoor venue at the Harborside commercial campus in Jersey City, joining Smorgasbar, which opened earlier this summer. The company’s premier outdoor destination in New Jersey now offers local craft beers, barbecue tacos, lobster rolls, and brick oven pizza. The debut is the latest in a flurry of announcements from developer Mack-Cali, which is quickly transforming the Harborside campus into a mixed-use destination for local residents and Manhattanites just a quick train or ferry ride away.
