Hudson Square is now home to ‘Restorative Ground,’ a temporary public art installation and pavilion designed by WIP Collaborative. The installation is located on King Street between Hudson and Greenwich Streets and arrives as part of the local community’s participation in New York City’s Open Streets Program.
Permits have been filed for a nine-story mixed-use building at 39 West 128th Street in Harlem, Manhattan. Located between Fifth Avenue and Lenox Avenue, the site is three blocks north of the 125th Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 3 trains. Taso Vassiliou of non-profit developer The Bridge Inc. is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The Landmarks Preservation Commission is now reviewing proposals from Skidmore, Owings & Merrill to renovate and restore the historic Lever House at 390 Park Avenue in Midtown East, Manhattan. Scope of work for the proposed alterations includes replacement of non-original plaza paving and bases, the installation of new signage and stainless steel doors, a new entrance into the Casa Lever restaurant on the ground floor, and the replacement of aluminum panelling and glass storefronts at the ground floor. The design team will also restore exterior stone, metal, and ceiling materials around the property.
New renderings from Frank Quatela Architects illustrate a forthcoming multifamily property at 63 Pitt Street on Manhattan’s Lower East. The 12-story building arrives from developer Prosper Property Group and will create 59 rental apartments.
Closings are set to begin this August for a new office condominium property at 35 West 36th Street in Herald Square, Manhattan. From developer Hidrock Properties the 12-story, 80,000-square-foot structure is currently undergoing a conversion from traditional office space to office condominium units.
